Chief James Delorme
Chief Delorme is the elected Chief of Klahoose FIrst Nation, currently serving his 3rd term. He is also the president of QXMC, the Klahoose Economic Development Corporation and serves on the Board of the BC Assembly of First Nations, and the board member of the BC Business and Investment Council. Chief Delorme is a frequent speaker on the topics of technology transformation and green energy, speaking at events such as the Assembly of First Nations Energy summit, the Annual BC Business Council. Although Chief Delorme’s family originated from Cowessess First Nation (Treaty 4 Territory) ,he has been welcomed and adopted into Coastal Salish culture and way of life.Previously Delorme created innovative video-based language lesson plans for the First People’s Cultural Foundation, and he has an extensive background in tourism, construction and the forest industry. His focus has always been to build capacity within his own community and strengthen strategic economic opportunities for Klahoose and other First Peoples.
